gonna get 3 skeins
JUST in case
i like abby's idea of making it into a basket
so
i will put a flat bottom & an applied i-cord on it
it will become a project basket
yarn should be here before the end of the month
then i will finish the blasted thing

Got my Yarn
I received my 7th skein of yarn in the ivory color for the stupid swan a week ago. I keep walking by it and nope my brain won't let me pick it up. I have a 4 day weekend coming up so I am going to FORCE myself to finish this bird. What I would really like to do is give the swan the bird but it being an inanimate object it would not get it. I also hope to contact Karen for the next KAL of the gloves, I cant wait to get started on them. I got a shawl I need to finish by Thanksgiving and the Nina Shawl from Mason Dixon by next March, so I think I can squeeze the gloves in for next winter.

i share your pain
i got to 20" on the neck when i ran out of yarn
so i attached to the ball that i was using to knit
the body
knit till i got TO the bag
pulled the needles out & started unknitting the bag
as i finished knitting the head
well
i was with OTHER knitters & i wanted to make
sure i paid attention to the graph
so i quit for the nite
anyways
i will NEED more yarn
i haven't ordered it yet
like you

i want something fun to knit

I hate the Bjork
I was knitting along on the swan and i am on ball 6 of the kit, I have 30" of the neck done and no more ivory yarn, so i ordered one ball to finish the head from woolworks, so am waiting for that. I dont know who figured out how much yarn to put this kit. I did not the 2" fold over nor will I put in the pockets. I hate this swan, who made me do this? I was knitting and watching Knitty Gritty, had seen all but one of the sessions so watched The Closer marathon. So as I laid the swan down and put her back in her tote I started on the Mantra Ray shawl from the book Yarn Play from Knitpicks for an 80th birthday present. I am doing it in stucco.
Will let you know when i get my last ball of yarn and start again.
